These sweet pulled pork sandwiches with a touch of spice are sure to be a hit. Top it off with extra sauce and a handful of shredded cabbage for crunch. Get creative and serve it over rice with lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, & cilantro for a pulled pork bowl.
112 oz.can of Dr. Pepper, Root Beer, or Coca-Cola,can be swapped for pineapple OR orange juice.
3tablespoons canned chipotle sauce
118 ouncebottle of BBQ sauce
shredded cabbage or coleslaw mix, optional
Instructions
Sprinkle the BBQ rub all over the pork shoulder and place into the slow cooker.
Toss in the sliced onions, add the chipotle, and pour the soda (or juice) around the sides of the pork.
Set your crockpot to high and cook for 8-10 hours.
When done cooking, drain most of the liquid out and shred the pork with 2 forks. Mix in about half of the bottle of your bbq sauce and serve on buns or thick sliced bread. Top off with extra sauce and the coleslaw mix. Enjoy!
